Mission Statement
We the people of Rose City Park Presbyterian Church believe in one God, with Jesus Christ as head of the church. We believe that the Holy Spirit guides us individually and corporately as we joyfully live and worship together in faith, hope, and love according to God’s Word. We are in an inclusive fellowship, celebrating our diversity, as we remember that each one of us has been included by God’s Grace.
As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we are a confessional and constitutional body working in ministry, with and within our denomination, toward reconciliation with God and with each other. In our congregation power is shared and decisions are collaborative.
We are a covenant community whose work and worship are subject to reform and renewal. We measure our success by our faithfulness in response to God’s call.
Therefore, we are committed to . . .
• Worshipping in joyful celebration.
• Striving to be an inclusive people who encourage all to participate fully in the life of the church.
• Sustaining and supporting clergy, staff, and lay leaders.
• Using our church building and other resources to provide the congregation and the community with opportunities for service.
• Developing relationships to support and serve one another in our congregation.
• Developing relationships to support and serve our local community while maintaining our global commitments.
As Christians we believe that we have been called by God
to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ. We accomplish our mission by serving others in love through our giving
and the use of our personal gifts and talents.
